About Us

Midpoint Markets is a proprietary trading firm focused on solving complex challenges in cryptocurrency trading using a systematic and quantitative approach. Our team of scientists and engineers, representing more than 100 years of experience in quantitative trading, is dedicated to delivering innovative, rigorous, and practical solutions to quickly-evolving problems in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly competitive environment.

We began in 2018 with a small team of Computer Science and Math students and have grown to become an established firm in the industry, by adding senior personnel from top quantitative trading and market making firms in traditional finance. We work closely with most of the world’s largest cryptocurrrency exchanges to provide liquidity and create efficient markets across a wide range of products.

Areas

Research

Our research team facilitates the research and analysis that serves as the foundation of our trading. In practice, the researchers engage in developing new trading models and strategies, expanding strategies to new markets, scaling and automating our research process, and developing algorithms to optimize our portfolios and strategies.

Development

Our development team consists of world class engineers that have built our systems and infrastructure from the ground up. Developers work on building complex and highly performant trading systems, involving rapidly changing distributed systems with many connections and interdependencies; maintaining and streamlining data and research pipelines; and automating trading ops processes.

Trading

Our trading operations team assists with bringing our strategies to new markets and managing the active trading systems. Traders are the link between the research and development teams and live markets. They manage our calculation of exposures and hedges, build tools to automate trading operations processes, and monitor the trading directly.
